The Jisho.org app offers an incredible mobile experience for searching the Japanese language. With its clean and user-friendly interface, it provides a more accessible alternative to Chrome. This app is particularly useful for efficient studying as it features ad-free search capabilities that help eliminate distractions.

Japanese Dictionary is a comprehensive offline Japanese-English dictionary boasting an extensive database of over 160,000 entries, 10,000 kanji characters, and nearly 60,000 example sentences. Beyond its dictionary functionality, this app also serves as a valuable tool for learning the Japanese language. It offers translations for select words in French, German, and Russian along with detailed example sentences, kanji information, and conjugated forms for each word.

Users can search for words using kanji, kana, romaji, or the Latin alphabet. The app even recognizes full sentences and conjugated forms of words. Kanji searches are made easier through the option to select multiple radicals.

Similar to many other Japanese dictionary apps available, the data used in this app is sourced from the remarkable JMdict project— a collaborative effort led by the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group with contributions from Jim Breen and others.

Regarding permissions, the Network Connection Permission is only utilized if users choose to contribute their own content to Jisho.org from within the app. Otherwise, no information is sent, and network connection is not required as the dictionary functions offline.
